This practical drone course is designed for candidates who hold a Class A UAPL (Rotorcraft) up to 7kg licence and are progressing towards Class A UAPL rotorcraft operations up to 25kg. It provides practical training before the official 25kg practical assessment.
Learners will practise UAS pre-flight and post-flight checks, manual flight manoeuvres without GNSS assistance, precision hovering, climbing and descending circuits, figure-of-8 manoeuvres, precision landing, mission planning, and emergency procedure handling for larger rotorcraft UA operations.

No. Completing this course does not mean you will receive your UAPL immediately.
Upon successful completion, you will receive AKC's E-Certificate if you meet all competency requirements. To obtain your UAPL licence, you must meet the relevant CAAS requirements, including passing the required theory test, completing the practical assessment, and submitting the required UAPL application.
No. Training drones, fully charged batteries, helipad, cones, camping pins, and other required practical training items will be prepared for the practical sessions.
Not immediately. This practical drone course helps you build the hands-on flight skills required for Class A UAPL 25kg operations, but you must still meet CAAS requirements before flying commercially.
