Workshop to Enhance the Safety of Crane Operation The WESCO Course covers crane safety practices, law updates, safe lifting, and lessons from recent crane accidents.

Course Outcomes

By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:

Raise your safety competencies in the operation of cranes

Prerequisites:

Before beginning this course, it’s essential to have the following:

WESCO applicants are required to have valid crane operator licenses, or their licenses have expired for less than 6 months. Crane Operators with licenses that have expired for 6 months or more should not attend the WESCO. They need to go through the crane operator course again or retake the crane operator test before their licenses can be renewed.
A copy of the Crane Operator License should be produced for the course registration.

Learning Units:

State the legal requirements in the lifting operation
Explain Safety precautions in crane operation
Describe pre-operational checks on cranes and lifting gears
Comply with safe work procedures
Interpret load/capacity chart for cranes
