Before beginning this course, it’s essential to have the following:

• Learners must be above 18 years of age.
• Learners must be physically and mentally fit for the training with no handicap.
• Participants who are 60 years and above must produce a medical certificate of physical fitness.

Assumed Skills and Knowledge

• Employability skills system (ESS) Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) level 3 and above, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturer’s instructions, procedures, and safety signs.
• Has a good sense of situational awareness and safety consciousness.

Entry Requirement for Assessment Only Pathway (AOP):

• Experienced Lorry Crane Operators with certificates of training issued by manufacturers or training providers

Or

• Employer’s letter to testify that the operator has at least 3 years of experience in lorry crane operations

Participants need to use the self-evaluation to check if they meet the prerequisites to take AOP
