Horizontal Surface Maintenance Level 1 assessment only pathway (AOP)

Course Overview

To allow learners to,

Demonstrate knowledge and abilities required in daily cleaning and removing spillage from hard floor surfaces.

This is demonstrated by the following Enabling Objectives at the workplace

Preparing for work activities
Removing spillage from hard floor surfaces
Removing impacted soil from hard floor surfaces manually
Removing loose dust and debris from hard floor surfaces
Performing mopping of hard floor surfaces
Reinstating work area

Prerequisites:

Learner’s profile:

18 years old
Secondary or lower education
Have attended formal/informal training which is relevant to the Module applied for within the last year, OR
Have at least 3 months of relevant work experience within the last 3 years from the date of application for AOP in relation to the Module applied for.
Able to speak, listen and read English at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification Workplace Literacy Level (WPL) 1
