This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Security Sector.

Course Overview

This 22-hour Security Supervisor course equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills to supervise security officers effectively. Through hands-on training and workplace scenarios, learners will develop skills to oversee security operations, provide direction and control to security officers, manage emergency situations, and maintain health and safety standards at work.
The Supervise Security Officers course supports learners in developing the supervisory skills required to manage security personnel and security operations in the workplace.

Course Outcomes

By the end of the Security Supervisor course, you’ll be equipped to:

  • Have the knowledge and application skills to supervise security officers and be able to apply them at their workplace.

Prerequisites:

Before beginning this Security Supervisor course, it’s essential to have the following:

  • Assumed Skills and Knowledge:
    • Learners who signed up for this unit, “Supervise Security Officers” are assumed to have the following skills and knowledge:
    • Have acquired skills and knowledge relevant to this unit through previous learning or work experience as a security officer
    • Have at least a secondary education qualification
    • Able to read, listen, and speak in English at ESS Level 6
    • Able to read and write in English at ESS Level 6

Target Audience: Security Officer, Security Supervisor, or Operation Executive
Dress code: Shirt (long or short sleeve), Pant (No jeans), Black shoes.
Medium of Instruction: English. Only participants with 100% attendance will be eligible to sit for the examination.
Only Singaporeans, Singapore Permanent Residents, and Malaysian work permit holders, who have completed Provide Guard and Patrol Services course and Handle Security Incidents and Services course, are eligible to apply for the Security Officer Licence.
