    Foundation

    Founded by Engineer Fang Koh Look. AKC started from one man, with an early focus on ISO Systems and Safety Consultancy services.

  2. 2010 - 2013

    Growth and Recognition

    During this period, AKC expanded its business operations and gained significant industry recognition, including the 2010 ASME Promising 500 Enterprise Award and the 2010 Successful Entrepreneur Award.

    By 2013, we were further recognized as a first-time entrant in the Enterprise 50 (ranked 15th out of 50) and received the SCORE Spark of Hope Award.

    Major Awards Wins

    AKC received multiple awards between 2014 and 2018, including the Singapore SME 1000 & Singapore International 100, the NTUC Partnership Award, the SCORE Model Supervisor Award, the ASEAN Business Award, the Rotary Singapore–ASME The Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and the SingHealth Award (Gold). In 2015, AKC also received the Enterprise 50 award.

    Rapid Expansion

    In 2024 and 2025, we opened two new locations in Woodlands and MacPherson, and also received the Service to Education Award (Silver) 2024.

    As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we are actively expanding our training portfolio to include next-generation courses in areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Management (DM), and drone technology. Meet The Team Behind AKC

Mr. Fang directs the company’s long- and short-term planning, manages its financial aspects, and drives organizational advancements. He offers leadership and strategic initiatives to maintain competitiveness while aligning with Public Policies and Company Values. With more than 30 years of management, consultancy, and training experience, he has also led in new business ventures and succession planning.

He holds a Master’s in Safety, Health & Environmental Technology from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers of Singapore and has served as an Adjunct Associate Professor at NUS.

In 2014, Mr. Fang received the Rotary Singapore – ASME “Entrepreneur of the Year Award” and the “Nanyang Alumni Achievement Award.” He chairs the College Advisory Committee for Anderson Serangoon Junior College and earned the “Service to Education Award (Silver)” from the Singapore Ministry of Education in 2024.

Mr. Tang in his capacity manages day to day operational matters and is responsible for all business activities in the organization. He is also the figurehead of the organization and interacts closely with external stakeholders. Mr. Tang is responsible in implementing and developing business strategies, formulating internal work processes and controls to ensure competence of the organization. Mr. Tang also acts as a direct liaison between board and management level and helms various departments in the organization. He is also a director in the training and management department; overseeing all training processes and its services provided by the organization.

Mr. Tang graduated with Bachelors of Science in General Management from the University of London, United Kingdom. He brings with him 20 years of general management and auditing experience.

Mr. Fang oversees the Business Development & Outreach divisions at AKC. He is responsible for driving business development and expansion in partnership with Whole-of-Government (WoG) agencies. Mr. Fang successfully spearheaded the acquisition and implementation of the national Top Executive WSH Programme (TEWP), overseeing its development from conception to deployment (within 3 months) for C-Suite executives in high-risk industries.

Directing a team of 10, Mr. Fang oversees the development of courses in AKC. His scope-of-work encompasses Technology-Enabled Learning (TEL), e-Learning / Micro-Learning, and developing new learner-centric programmes in WSH & other Industry-specific domains. He also leads outreach and digital marketing to build awareness & impact of the AKC brand.

Prior to joining AKC, Mr. Fang worked at MINDEF’s Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) Robotics division, overseeing the Ops-Tech partnership between SAF (Army & RSN) & OEMs to develop & deploy Robotics solutions in military environments. For his contributions to MINDEF, he was commended with the MINDEF Exemplary Innovator Award (RSN Autonomous Load Transporter) & the SAF CSSCOM Commander Coin (Unmanned Security & Resupply using integrated C3 Sensors & COTS UGVs).

Mr. Fang holds a Degree in Mechanical Engineering (First Class Honours) from NTU. In recognition of his contributions to Industrial & Academia R&D in Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Fang was conferred the title of NTU President Research Scholar by the university.

Mr. Chah is a seasoned and passionate Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) professional with over 30 years of experience, including 18 years in WSH management and training and 13 years in construction project management. This unique blend of experience gives him a deep understanding of the critical link between safe execution and successful project delivery. As a Senior WSH trainer, Mr. Chah possesses extensive knowledge of safety and health legislation and best practices, and he is passionate about sharing his expertise to cultivate safe and healthy work environments.

Mr. Chah’s credentials include a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from Nanyang Technological University. His skills encompass a wide range of WSH proficiencies, including risk management (as a MOM-approved risk consultant), auditing (ConSASS*/ ISO 45001/ ISO 29993/ BizSafe), WSH courseware development (being DACE-certified), and WSH training facilitation (being ACTA-certified). He is well-versed in the WSH Act and the subsidiary legislations, adept at developing and implementing WSH Management System, and possesses strong problem-solving, people management, and communication skills.

Chah’s accomplishments demonstrate his commitment to excellence in Workplace Safety and Health. He has successfully managed and completed construction projects within contract periods, guided numerous organizations achieving BizSafe Level 3 certification, and developed numerous WSHC/ SSG-approved WSH courseware materials. He was instrumental in organizations achieving BizSafe Level 3 certification and ISO 29993 certification for WSH training.
