Chemical Handling Safety Awareness Course

Course Overview

The Chemical Safety Awareness Course is a 4-hour, in-person training programme in Singapore designed to equip workers with essential knowledge of chemical hazards and safe handling practices. Learners will understand workplace chemical risks, relevant risk control measures and the Globally Harmonised System (GHS) for chemical classification and labelling.

Through workplace examples and case studies, participants will also learn about chemical safety precautions and appropriate responses to fire and chemical emergencies.

Who should attend?

This course is suitable for employees involved in chemical handling activities, including workers in manufacturing, industrial and other workplaces where chemicals are used. It is also relevant to workers seeking basic chemical safety awareness training to better understand workplace hazards and safe chemical handling practices.

Course Outcomes

By the end of this course, you’ll be equipped to:

  • Adopt relevant risk control measures when working with chemicals
  • Able to Identify a Global Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of chemicals

Course duration: 4 Hours (including 45 minutes assessment) 9 AM to 1 PM / 1.30 PM to 5.30 PM / 6 PM to 10 PM.
Passing Criteria – 60% Marks.
