Work at Height Course for Supervisors (Non-Mom) | WAH

Course Overview

The course aims to provide course participants with the requisite WAH knowledge to supervise and manage work at height activities so that they are carried out properly and safely.

Course Outcomes

By the end of this course, you’ll be equipped to:

Identify the various Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) legislations/Codes of practice/Approved codes of practice/Singapore standards applicable to WAH.
Conduct a risk assessment on Safety & Health hazards and Implement preventive measures related to WAH.
Identify use and care for the various fall arrest systems and equipment.
Develop and implement a Fall Prevention Plan.

Prerequisites:

Assumed skills & knowledge: ESS WPLN level 4

Participants are required to wear their safety boots for the practical session.

Only participants with 100% attendance will be eligible to sit for the examination.

Learning Units:

Identify the WSH legislations and references related to WAH.
Conduct Risk Assessment on Safety & Health Hazards and implement prevention measures related to WAH.
Identify use and care for Fall Prevention Systems and Equipment.
Develop and Implement a Fall Prevention Plan.

Additional Details:

Theory Exam format: 10 short questions (30 marks) & 2 scenario-based questions (70 marks)
Theory Exam duration: 2 Hours
Passing criteria: Written test – 65% & above; Practical Performance – 100%
This course is a non-MOM-accredited course.
However, the trainees, who complete this course, fulfill the MOM training requirements to be a WAH Supervisor, to carry out Supervision over WAH activities, as per WORKPLACE SAFETY AND HEALTH (WORK AT HEIGHTS) (AMENDMENT)
REGULATIONS 2014.

SDF funding is not applicable for this course, as it is an in-house course and not a MOM-accredited course.
