Course Details

AI for the Workforce course in Singapore helps non-technical professionals build practical skills in AI applications, ethics, governance, prompting, and no-code automation. This course is suitable for learners who want to improve workplace productivity and understand how to adopt AI responsibly in a business setting.

Course Overview

This program equips non-technical professionals with the essential knowledge and practical skills to navigate the ethical landscape of Artificial Intelligence. You will learn to identify and apply core AI Ethics and Governance principles, interpret relevant frameworks and policies, and proactively manage ethical risks, such as bias and data privacy, within AI applications. Through hands-on engagement with no-code tools, participants will discover how to leverage AI for enhanced productivity and efficiency, all while ensuring responsible deployment and upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct and regulatory compliance in their respective roles.

Course Outcomes

Upon completion, learners will have developed several critical skills and competencies:

  1. Digital Literacy & Foundational AI Understanding
    Analyse the impact of no-code AI and digitisation on existing business models and identify initial opportunities for innovation
  2. Business Model Analysis & Innovation Awareness
    Analyze the impact of digitization and no-code AI on existing business models
  3. Opportunity Identification & Innovation Thinking
    Identify practical opportunities where digitisation and AI can be applied within their organisation
  4. Prompt Engineering & Human–AI Interaction Skills
    Understand the principles and structure of effective prompts
  5. No-Code Automation & Workflow Design Skills
    Digitise simple manual tasks using no-code tools

Prerequisites

Learners should be:

  • Min 18 years old
  • Learners shall minimally (assumed) have the following skills and knowledge WPLN4 – English – Level 4 for reading, listening, speaking and writing)
  • Learner’s own laptop not required! Every learner will be entitled to one desktop workstation throughout the course duration for their learning. Learners may still opt to bring their own devices.

Class Size and Facilitator-Learner Ratio

  • Lesson: Maximum of 20 trainees per trainer

Target Audience:

  • Non-IT Business Professionals, SMEs, and General Users

Assessment Format & Duration

  • 1 Trainer : 1 Learner
  • Practical Exam – 15 minutes
  • Written Exam – 35 minutes
  • Oral Questioning – 10 minutes

Passing Criteria

  • Learners are required to achieve a 100% score for the assessment (Practical, Written and Oral) in order to attain a “Competent” grade.
  • In addition, 100% attendance is mandatory to complete the course.

Learners are eligible for SSG training grants only if they pass the course. Those who fail the course will not qualify for course funding.
