Course Overview

Implementing Total Workplace Safety and Health at Workplaces is for any organization who wish to develop and implement their own Total Workplace Safety and Health (TWSH) Plan in their workplace. 

The programme covers the following topics:

  1. ‘What’ & ‘Why’ of Total Workplace Safety & health (TWSH)
    • Introduction to Total WSH
    • Importance of top management commitment towards Total WSH
    • Insights to the 3 key components of Total WSH
  2. ‘How’ – Framework & Process
    • What is Holistic Risk Management
    • What is AIME model (Assessment, Intervention, Monitoring, Evaluation)
  3. Practical Application & Roles
    • Define the roles and responsibilities of management, supervisors and employees in Total WSH approach
    • Total WSH programmes
    • Total WSH Toolkits
    • Total WSH Resources

Learning Units:

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the core principles and philosophy of Total WSH.
  • Appreciate the critical role of top management in driving a successful Total WSH culture.
  • Describe the three key components of Total WSH and the concept of Holistic Risk Management.
  • Apply the AIME model for systematic programme implementation.
  • Identify the specific roles and responsibilities of different stakeholders in a Total WSH framework.
  • Awareness of various Total WSH programmes, toolkits, and resources available for implementation of TWSH.

Certifications Granted:

Certificates of Attendance (by AKC) will be conferred on candidates who attend the programme until the end

Attendance requirements – 100%
2 SDU Points applicable (Validity Period for SDU points – 03 Sep 2025 – 31 Dec 2025). WSHO can claim SDU points once only, for a course. The SDU points could not be claimed for a repeat or refresher course.
